Cooking the ifood way - I attempted Snigdha's Egg Biryani recipe

23-Mar-2008 by vikas kumar

I came across this recipe http://www.ifood.tv/recipe/egg_biryani (Thank you, Snigdha) just yesterday and thought of trying it out. Earlier too I’ve wanted to attempt some of the stuff posted on ifood but was lazy. This time though, I brought myself to doing this one coz:

1) I like biryani…any biryani, and have always wanted to be able to cook one.

2) The recipe was simple. The ingredients and spices used are the ones that, on any given day, would be available in most Indian households.

3) Today’s a Sunday. Also, the end of a long weekend. An ideal day to laze around at home and help wifey with some cleaning n cooking.

The steps were easy and it took us not more than 45-50 mins from start to finish. The egg biryani turned out very good…actually, better than most biryanis that I’ve eaten at the various restaurants in my locality in Mumbai.

Pet bhar gaya, man bhar gaya, biwi bhi khush...need I ask for more?

This is how the Egg Biryani finally turned out...
