If you love collecting cookbooks and reading up recipes from different ages, then you need to know this. The Wellcome Library in London, has uploaded PDFs of its entire collection of 17th century cookbooks .
A number of authentic vintage recipes, written in slightly incomprehensible Old English and beautiful handwriting await your perusal. Along with an interesting collection of recipes (known as receipts) they also have instruction of procedures for distilling herbs, curing commom ailments and even tips on how to stay beautiful. Just imagine! These are household books with tips and recipes amassed over ages and passed down from generation to generation for many years.

A collection of almost 75 books have been uploaded. For all who has got the passion and want to take a peek into the 17th century household, go ahead and take a look at these cookbooks.
