Colombian menu is an assortment of some of the most delicious foods which are undoubtedly the most authentic and mouthwatering dishes, representing Columbian civilization, and culture in every way. The variation in the taste of each recipe is because of the regional influence. People in Colombia celebrate many festivals and cooking is the key of all the celebrations where people gather and enjoy. Here are some authentic Colombian menu ideas:

 

Colombian Breakfast ideas:

·         Papas Chorreadas - Red potatoes cooked with milk, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro

·         Pan de maiz - corn flour and wheat flour mixed together with butter, egg, raisins, and cloves to form dough before they are baked in the oven - the most popular Columbian menu item for breakfast.

·         Carimanolas – Yuca boiled and knead into dough and filled with stuffing made of ground meat, onion, garlic and other sauce. These balls are then fried and served to make it a delicious filling dish.

·         Mondongo - Hominy and tripe cooked along with water, onion, garlic, pepper, and cilantro leaf

·         Beef and sweet potato stew - Beef cooked with sweet potato and other spices. This traditional dish takes 8 hours to prepare.

·         Colombian mango Delight (dessert) - Tasty custard prepared of orange juice, mango slices, milk sugar, and gelatin.
