Clinical Trial for Type 2 Diabetes patients in Houston and St. Louis who are taking insulin.

Diabetes SymptomsA new drug is being investigated in a clinical trial that may help people with Type II Diabetes to achieve better blood sugar control. Diabetes effects millions of people in the US and worldwide. One of the challenges in treating and managing Diabetes is controlling the blood sugar levels adequately.

Do you have Type 2 Diabetes? If so, are you currently taking ANY of the following insulin medications (if you are taking any other type of insulin, then you will NOT qualify for the study)

  • Lantus
  • Levemir
  • Humulin N
  • Novolin N

The study also requires that you are either not taking any oral diabetes medication or that if you are taking any oral drug, they it be limited to Metformin and/or Actos. Metformin is also known as Glucophage, Glumetza, Fortamet and is an oral hypoglycemic medication.
