Climate-Friendly Cows Make Meat-Eating Less Bad

First, we hear about the Swedes and their animal-waste fuel and now we know that they are producing very eco-friendly cows. These climate friendly cows make meat-eating less bad. It is a known fact that meat-eaters release more Carbon dioxide than their vegetarian counterparts. Well, if you are vegetarian or a vegan your best advise to the meat eaters is to give up on it entirely. But that is not going to happen any time sooner. That is why Sweden is advocating environment friendly sustainable animal husbandry thereby making meat-eating less bad with climate-friendly cows.

Sweden was the first country in the European Union to ask its people to cut down on their meat consumption. Now it is asking its animal farmers to feed their cows with grass and other herbs. And because of this the cows themselves release up to 20% less methane into the atmosphere and their meat is leaner than the other variety. They are also seemingly higher in the essential Omega 3 fatty acids.

This kind of eco-friendly meat production and consumption would make a significant positive change in our Eco-system. The Swedish farmers too remain hopeful that this will make a difference.
