Chicago food festival is one of the most happening occasions and the world’s largest outdoor food fest. It is a gastronomical extravaganza which attracts more than three million people every year.
 

Chicago’s largest food festival, known as “Taste of Chicago”, is usually held annually for ten days in the city of Chicago. Varieties of cuisines served in the festival such as American, Chinese, Indian, Oceanic or Creole cuisines. Chicago is a very big country and the people’s quest for good food is unbeatable.
 

Main Attractions of Chicago Food Festival:
 

The ten day food festival serves around three hundred menu items from more than seventy restaurants and food vendors. During the food festival, you can see tame fair such as giant turkey legs and rib sandwiches, but the more adventurous taste one can get is that of goat biryani. The goat biryani is generally made with goat along with rice, saffron and spices. You can also find a very special dish known as pork filled banana dumplings.
 

To get the more taste and experience of the food festival, you can wander over to the Dominick’s Cooking Centre and see the cooking demonstrations by Chicago’s best chefs and wine experts.
 

Apart from the various foods, the other great attractions of Chicago food festival includes the free concerts taking place throughout the ten days of the festival. Thus people get the chance to see one or more of their favourite artists perform for free.
 

For the children there are special arrangements in the food festival. There are Family Village and Fun Time Stage which includes many interesting activities and entertainment especially for the kids.
 

Where Chicago Food Festival Happens:
 

Chicago Food Festival usually takes place in the Grant Park which is North/South between Monroe Avenue and Balbo Drive, east/west between Michigan Avenue and Lake Shore Drive.
 

Timings:
 

The festival usually happens between 11:00AM-9:00PM. It starts from 4th of July and continues for another 8-10 days.
 

The Chicago Food Festival is one of the city’s signature events drawing people from throughout the world. It is a good opportunity for the people to have some great food, wine along with some interesting activities.
