Change Your Lifestyle, Get Rid of Acidity
In my previous blog, I talked about acidity, its causes and some of its preventive measures. Today I will be talking about how to keep ourselves healthy and happy without the threat of acidity.

Few points to keep in mind to prevent acidity:
• We should not lie down immediately after the meals. Before going to bed, we should make sure that our body has digested the food. The stomach digests the food with the help of acids. You should avoid lying down after meals to keep the acid where it should be. One should eat his meal at least three hours before going to bed.
• You should eat small meals at regular intervals, at least five-six meals per day. Avoid long gaps between meals. Make sure that you have eaten little after every three-four hours.
• You should always keep a check on your body weight. It is observed that overweight people are more prone to heartburns. Avoid eating very spice, high sodium containing and deep-fried foods such as chili sauces, pickles, etc. Eat as much fruits and vegetables as you can.
• Never skip your exercises. A brisk walk of at least half an hour is really good for an individual’s health. It keeps a check on the acidity disease.
• Another important aspect is your proper body posture. While eating, you should avoid slouching on the table. After the meal, keep your back straight and upright. When you are going to sleep, make sure to sleep in the right posture.
These are very simple yet useful points that need to be taken care of. Acidity is a very common problem and keeping the above points in mind we can easily combat it. So, don’t worry and live a balanced and stress-free life.
