California Gets Ready for Pot cultivation and Putting Afghan Warlords and Mexican Drug Mafias out of Business

As Marijuana Valley, California gets ready for massive pot cultivation to boost its falling economy, there are millions who would be more than glad by the new reform of legalizing marijuana. Critics and innumerable hopeful souls believe that the November ballot for legalizing marijuana can change the very fate of the nation where drug crime is not a new phenomenon.

California Pot Cultivation

Pot Cultivation for Nation’s Progress

Silicon Valley boom is over and with it California’s economy has also plunged rock bottom. Being a bankrupt state it is finding it difficult to finance various social programs. Now the big question is – Can California’s financial woes be lessened through pot cultivation? Many people are optimistic and they believe that the nation has nothing to lose because citizens will be able to enjoy the liberty to cultivating and then selling or using the marijuana as per their requirements. An important step can be promoting the marijuana grown in US. Jobs can be created through extensive farming and people will be able to buy local drugs and not those that are trafficked from Mexico or Afghanistan. Legalizing the drug will definitely help in putting an end to California’s economic misery as the state will be able to regulate or tax sale of marijuana. Every year this will usher in billions of dollars to the poor nation. Not to forget the fact that pot is still the biggest cash crop of California.

A Nation Free from Drug Peddlers and Mafias

It would also be a major triumph for supporters of cannabis reform as they will be able to increase their income, and the Afghan warlords and Mexican drug mafias or drug peddlers will be thrown out of business. Consumers won’t have to rely on an underground black market or drug peddlers, which will again lessen the drug crimes committed across the nation. Addicts will also be able to opt for Marijuana instead of hard drugs.

Destroying Nation’s Enemies through Reforms

Extensive marijuana cultivation can help in uplifting California’s economy, but it is not good news for its two biggest enemies - Afghan Taliban and Mexican drug lords. The war against drugs will be almost won as the drugs that have been illegally arriving from Afghanistan and Mexico would stop as there would be very few buyers. Drug peddlers will be wiped out or they will have to move out looking for other alternatives. Why would someone buy these drugs from the black market when they can be easily procured locally and that too at a much lesser price?

Food for Thoughts

If this reform passes, Californians will definitely see a lot of changes in their lives. We all know that the nation has over 100 million marijuana users on medical or recreational levels. At present the nation has almost lost the war against drugs and regulations or reforms can only help in saving California and lifting it up from its ashes. Legalized regulation may not be a cent percent solution to all the drug problems, but it can certainly assist in curbing the violence and crime in the streets to certain extent. Legalizing marijuana is certainly worth a risk; however, not everyone may agree.
