Brunch Menu

A Sunday or a holiday for me means a time to just chill out. It is minimum time in the kitchen and just laze around with family watching a movie, reading a book or even better have a late lunch or brunch as it would be technically called and go out. A late afternoon trip to the beach or any other place that we have all unanimously agreed upon is a great weekend idea.

Holidays of course mean that all of us like to eat something tasty and different from the week days. However, instead of slogging in the kitchen I work up some good brunch ideas for days like these. Of course walking in to a brunch buffet at one of the restaurants next door would be a great idea but being the health freak I am I mostly prefer to have a spread at home. Believe me of late have discovered that my family too have started wanting to eat at home as against calling for food or going out. Great health benefits and of course helps me stick to my monthly budget too.

Here is my pick for a great brunch menu

Quick Wrap  – a healthy idea with a lot of veggies

Hash Brown Casserole - a quick and easy casserole, just what I need for a lazy Sunday

Quick Roasted chicken done really quick and easy

Chocolate bread and butter pudding an easy dessert, a little planning and some work the previous day would help make it easy for you to lay out a great spread for your brunch.

The best brunch is one where you are able to have great food with minimum effort and also have plenty of fun bonding with family. Just the kind of day I would like to have.

Yes, I really enjoy my Sunday brunch at home... Waking up late and whipping up something real fast and I make sure that it's filling too. Last time i tried buttermilk pancake and it came out truly impressive - super fluffy and soft, to say the least. I liked the Quick roasted chicken link you have left, would definitley give that a try this Sunday. I was always under the impression that cooking chicken was time consuming!

Oh yes!! I do love waking up late and having a hearty brunch. It has to be tasty and filling thats my criteria and of course the one with the least effort. Sunday is one day where I like to just let my hair down and relax. Getting recharged for the week ahead :) is my excuse for all the laziness.
