Bill Clinton Diet
Most of us would have noticed that Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, looking visibly thinner right before his daughter Chelsea's wedding. Bill Clinton is no stranger to junk food like most of the Americans. Nobel Prize winning author, Toni Morrison even called Clinton as the “saxophone-playing, McDonald's-and-junk-food-loving boy from Arkansas". But what was the Bill Clinton diet? How did he shed all those pounds?
What are Bill Clinton Diet Tips?
Chelsea wanted her father to shed some 15 pounds before her wedding, but her father impressed her even more by shedding 24 pounds. But the former President said that alone was not the reason form him to lose all weight. A little while ago, he had to do a bypass surgery to unclog his veins that were getting
coated with unwanted cholesterol. But soon, all the cholesterol started coming back. That is when Bill Clinton decided to take up his health more seriously.
So, this former baby boomer President, had to make some serious changes in his diet and lifestyle. He went on an essentially vegan diet. He calls it a plant based diet but I think that they are one and the same. He now eats only beans, legumes, vegetables and fruits. He however starts off the day with a protein supplement. He occasionally eats fish though. Bill Clinton's diet does not involve diary. He drinks almond milk mixed in with fruit and a protein powder. That is how he gets his protein fix. He said that this was the only way to heal his body after the years of cholesterol damage.
Final Word on the Bill Clinton Diet:
Any vegan diet is notoriously low in proteins and Vitamin B12. Apart from that, the Bill Clinton's diet is good to be followed. If you decide to follow Bill Clinton's diet tips, ensure that you meet your protein requirements through dietary supplements. This diet is good for people who are in their late 40's and those you have undergone bypass surgeries. No matter how lucrative and harmless Clinton's diet might seem to you right now, it is my opinion that you consult a doctor before going on any diet.
