However, do remember that a three course meal can be as romantic as a six course one.

Romantic Valentines menus:

  • Appetizer: The appetizer can have something like a Bruschetta. This is grilled bread with flavours of garlic and olive oil along with a fresh topping of tomatoes and parsley. However, you can change the topping and add anything your valentine is fond of. This special touch makes the appetizer very romantic. If you do not like bread as a starter then you can serve tomato and mozzarella caprese. This colourful dish served with extra virgin olive oil and Italian herbs drizzled over it is truly amazing. You can also serve canapés with various topping as a starter. They are also very romantic as a plate full of canapés with various toppings is amazing for a start to a great meal.
  • Main course: As for the main course you can serve different kinds of pasta depending on the taste you prefer. They can be spinach ravioli in white sauce, lasagne or spaghetti in bolognaise sauce. Take care to serve the dishes with a twist; you can cut a rose out of tomato and place it on top of bolognaise or you can make a heart out of the basil leaf and decorate the ravioli. Implement these tiny creativities and make the meal romantic. If not serving Italian serve some grilled lamb on a bed of vegetables. This dish is very flavourful and full of colours and aroma. Serve a good wine with your main course and feel the essence of Valentines Day.
  • Dessert– This is the part of the meal where you can improvise a lot. Serving a heart shaped chocolate cake is very romantic. You can also go onto serve strawberry cheesecake which is ideal for its colour. Scoops of ice cream with rich and creamy chocolate sauce and nuts also make the meal special.

Whatever meal you plan put a lot of warmth and affection while planning it. It will not go unnoticed by your Valentine.
