Body Building is a passion these days. A good body building diet and nutrition makes body builders different from others.

Usually the word 'diet' is misunderstood and people think that this word is associated with starvation and pain but actually we can define a diet as food choices that we make on a daily basis.

Two top body builders shared their diet secrets.

Jay Cutler: He is a three time 'Mr. Olympia' winner. He takes some fat burning pills followed by cardio training before breakfast.

In breakfast he has 15 egg whites along with 4 packets of grits with ½ gallon water.

In meal 2, he takes 14oz chicken breast with 12oz sweet potato.

In tmeal 3, he takes 12oz steak with 12 oz red potato.

In meal 4 he will have whey protein immediately after work out.

In meal 5 his diet is 14oz chicken with white rice.

In meal 6 he consumes 15 egg whites with 6oz steak and a bucket of potatoes.

Victor Martinez: He is a winner of Arnold classic 2007. You can observe a careful planning in the timing between each meal.

He takes whey protein and water at 9:30 a.m.

At 10:45 a.m. he consumes 10 egg whites, 1 whole egg and 1 cup of oatmeal.

At 1: 30 p.m. he takes 10oz steak with 1 cup of brown rice.

At 4 p.m. he eats 10oz chicken and 10oz potato.

At 5:30 p.m. he has a pre-work out drink, BCAA.

At 8 p.m. he takes 10oz salmon, 1 cup of steamed broccoli.

At 1 a.m. he eats an 8 oz steak with 1 cup of steamed broccoli.

Body builders take their food in regular intervals throughout the day.

The important thing to observe in  body builders' diet is that they make sure that they cover at least the basics of supplementation which are multi vitamins and minerals.

They all just take one whey supplement during the day after the weight training session because whey is the most rapidly absorbed protein, so this protein is best when it is taken after work out.

Fruits are kept in minimum in a body builder’s diet as they are a source of high fructose content.

Potatoes which are a great source of carbohydrates are taken in large quantities but they are never eaten in the fried form.

If you are interested in body building, follow the above tips.
