Year 2011 will be soon knocking and almost all of us want to begin the New Year on a healthy note. It’s time for new hopes, aspirations, and wishes. We look forward to positive changes in our life and try to bring in little changes which actually make a lot of difference.

Every year people take lot of resolutions for upcoming year. Some want to lose weight while others want to quit some of their habits. Everybody have their own promises which they make to themselves. But as it is said, “happiness is the key to success”, so why not begin this new year with resolutions that are meant to achieve happiness for us and all.

Enjoy family time- Family is the most cherished possession and it always feel great to be with our family members. Let’s take out time for our family this year as much as we can. It can be either a dinner together, or a small walk with the kids; the time spent together will fetch happiness for all.

Healthy mind stays in healthy body- We get so busy with our work that sometimes we do not pay attention to ourselves. Competitions at work, meeting targets and deadlines become more important for us and we neglect our body. Plan your exercise routine well in advance. Spend at least 40 minutes on your fitness. Walking, jogging, swimming or playing your favorite outdoor sport; peruse whatever you like.

Control your taste buds- This New Year say NO to junk food. Our taste buds love to eat crisps and oily food stuff. Switch to healthy food items like salads, juices and oats. You can also start your day with glassful of lemon water with honey. When you will eat healthy, you will think healthy.

Pursue a hobby- Since childhood I wanted to do that….Make this sentence of yours come true now. Learning can be done at any age. So be it playing guitar or learning French, do it now.

De clutter- Lots of paper piling on your work place? Last year's grocery bills still lying in your cupboard?  It’s time to bid farewell to them. Get rid of unwanted things at home and office. Talk to some NGO, where you can donate them. Give away old clothes, toys or other gifts which are stuffed in your cupboards.

Do it now- Last but not the least, stop procrastinating. If you have to do something, do it now. Remember tomorrow never comes and till the time you wait for that tomorrow, you build up useless tension.

Dedicate this New Year to yourself and your loved ones. Give happiness, get happiness.
