A hot beef curry

Preparing a beef menu? Why not try dishes and flavors from different cuisines to really spice up that beef menu. Every cuisine has beef cooked in some form or the other. Play around with recipes and tastes and create something unique.

Beef Curry

Try an aromatic and spicy beef curry for your beef menu. For those who love the taste of chilies, this is going to be a much loved  dish for them. You can vary the spice level by picking out the kind of chili you use in the recipe. This dish goes exceptionally well with rice or you could even go the extra mile and make some beef biryani.

Kung Pao Beef

Everybody must have eaten chicken Kung Pao some time or the other so why not put a spin on the recipe and make Kung Pao Beef? It’s essentially the same recipe but instead of chicken you use flank steak sliced diagonally into bite sized pieces.  Remember to stir fry the beef until it loses its pink color. Also, stir fry the chili peppers and peanuts first before you add them to the beef. This dish is again a spicy one and extremely flavorful.

Steak Tartare

Steak tartare would be a great dish to feature on the beef menu. This is a meat dish made from delicately chopped or ground raw beef. Tartare can also be made by finely slicing a premium quality meat such as strip steak, marinating it in wine or other spirits, the hotness level of the dish can be determined by you. Do remember to chill it as well. It pairs well with onions, capers and seasonings (the latter characteristically incorporating fresh ground pepper and Worcestershire sauce), often with a raw egg, and sometimes on rye bread.

Beef Soup

Tough beef cuts are perfect for making Chinese beef soups which frequently require long hours of simmering. Cuts like brisket, plate, skirt, chuck, flank, shank and shin can be boiled until really soft and tender like it is going to dissolve in your mouth. This is a warm food and ideal for the winters.  Beef is high in protein and low in fat which makes this dish a healthy one as well.

There are plenty of dishes you can consider putting on a beef menu. Depending on whom you are creating the menu for, their likes, dislikes, and preferences should determine which dishes you want featured on the menu and which ones you don’t.  Hope you enjoy some of these beef menu ideas mentioned above.
