Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival
The whole new level of excitement is being hosted by Caesar's Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s and Showboat and this year, the Food Network is also one of the festival partners. Adding to an already impressive list of sponsors and partners, Conde Nast Traveler has also joined hands with the organizers this year. The earnings from the festival would be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
With the Food Network partnering this year, the festival will have an overdose of celebrity chefs like:
Guy Fieri, Sandra Lee, Pat&Gina Neely, Ted Allen, Sunny Anderson, Anne Burrell, Claire Robinson, Alex Guarnaschelli and Melissa D’Arabian
However, this is not all because chefs and restaurateurs from all over America, in addition to noted celebrities would be participating in the second edition of the Atlantic City Wine&Food Festival.
The signature event of the festival, the Grand Market, is sure to amuse, inspire, excite and hypnotize you with its more than 200 stations full of foods, wines, ales, liquors and lots more. This tasting village, open only for three hours, is the dining highlight of the year for the Atlantic City. The festival showcases culinary demonstrations by participating chefs, who set up a “world of indulgence” for the patrons.
After the first Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival was held last year, it met with huge success, encouraging the organizers to go ahead and make it even bigger this year. This year, the festival will have cooking demonstrations, walk-around wine tasting and wine and spirits seminars. Some of the other highlights of the festival are:
Sommelier Showdown – Celebrity sommelier Michael Green will host this ultimate blind tasting where three prominent sommeliers go head-to-head in a blind wine tasting ceremony.
Jersey Tomato Brunch with Claire Robinson – A five-course brunch is on offer, which will be accompanied by the choicest of special cocktails inspired by tomatoes.
Sweet & Stylish Hosted by Sandra Lee – Lee is known for blending designer fashion and sensual desserts and that is exactly what she would be doing here too. The event, based on the nightlife, will also have celebrity chefs from the Food Network.
Guy Fieri’s Cheesesteak Battle – Regional chefs from in and around Atlantic City will lock horns to rustle up the best cheesesteak, which would be judged by Guy Fieri.
