The term ‘heart disease’ is a general term denoting all kinds of heart problems.It indicates a heart under excessive stress. This is often due to a narrowing of the arteries, which makes it difficult for blood to move through your body and to your heart.

The risk of developing heart disease depends on various factors. Some people are at higher risk than others.To find out your risk level, you can answer a simple questionnaire:
1.Has anyone in your family had
heartdisease? YES/NO
2.Do you have diabetes? YES/NO
3.DO you smoke? YES/NO
4.DO you have more than one alcoholicdrink every day? YES/NO
5.Are you overweight? YES/NO YES/NO
6.Do you eat a diet that is high in fat? YES/NO
7. Do you lead a sedentary lifestyle? YES/NO
8.Do you have high blood pressure? YES/NO
9.Do you live and work under a lot of stress? YES/NO
10.Have you reached menopause?(for women) YES/NO
11.Do you take birth control pills? YES/NO
12.Do you have high blood cholesterol level?(for women) YES/NO
If your answer to any two of these questions was ‘YES’, consult your Cardiologist.
