Are More Americans Dining On Fast Food

The foodie-fact “nowadays Americans dining on fast food” has pointed out some social and economic implications. According to CNN, on a study run by American Express, it has been estimated that business of fast food dinning has increased 4% on the last quarter of 2010 and it’s being speculated that the reason behind this change of food trend is recession.
The effluents like mass are keen on saving immediate funds; instead of cooking and purchasing raw material from market and cooking at home perhaps Americans are taking comfort in consuming fast food. Fast food companies are also ready to boost their sale on this fast food preference and have included fresh salads in their food chart, which is adding a look of sensible healthy eating and that is easy alluring too.
The trend is quite visible; at least anyone can find it instantly by viewing at the parking lot in front of a McDonald’s outlet. Quite a few numbers of Audi and BMW will be seen there and it has hit the bull’s eye that rich people are not like common people and they diet on healthy items; whatever was the notion before, as said CNN, recession has aligned both “have and have not” on one line.
Increased consumption of fast food
The study by American Express has clearly indicated at the trend that ultra-affluent segment of consumers have abruptly increased their fast food restaurants eating as a regular eating out plan and the graph of eating our frequency has hopped up at 24% increase in the last year in comparison to only 8% increase in consumers other than US people.
However, still there is conflict between the mentality of these fast food consumers, while a few of them are after the fast food as matter of savings money, others are in the mood of merriment that they could beat the bump of recession. However, the profit goes to fast food chains whatever is the passion behind the dinning plan, and this parallel mentality of fast food consumers has been addressed by American Express as “bifurcated behavior pattern.”
Contradiction is savings and expense
However eating fast food is not the indication of curtailing luxury items for affluent American. It has been observed from several sources that air travel and affordability of other luxury items are increasing; a study by AmEx VP has disclosed relevant facts and figures to Wall Street Journal.
However, leaving apart recessions, fast food companies are enjoying their great sale boost and the credit goes to inflation, recession, and affluent Americans dining on fast food bent.
