NBC's The Biggest Loser has roped in the sexy tennis star Anna Kournikova to be a replacement to Jillian Michaels on its 12^th season. The show that aired on September 20^th has Anna coaching the Blue team that has obese contestants over the age of 60.

Anna Kournikova, 30, had said that she had always been a fan of this program, and her interest earned her a guest appearance in its 10^th season. "I've always been passionate about health and fitness, not to mention a fan of 'The Biggest Loser,' so I actually went after the opportunity to appear on the show. I met with the NBC and Reveille folks a while back and they asked me what my passions were in one of the meetings, and I told them health and fitness, without question. I was fortunate that there was an opening for me to work with the contestants on a consistent basis and I jumped at it. This is beyond my dream job." said Kournikova.

How does she feel about training the group of oldest contestants on the show, and does she think that age will be an hindrance to weight loss? She replied positively by saying, "Age is just a number when it comes to being mentally tough, but there is no doubt that the younger contestants will have an upper hand in a lot of the physical challenges. They are able to go harder for a longer period of time and will recover more quickly than the older contestants. Without a doubt, the older folks have to be smarter in their training."

When asked if she has to pay more attention to certain contestants, Anna Kournikova said, "Each contestant is fighting to stay on the ranch for his or her own personal reasons, and this alone is a very powerful motivator so I wouldn't count any of them out as the next Biggest Loser!"

By replacing ace trainer Jillian Michaels, Anna Kournikova has some pretty big shoes to fill. The season's premiere had mixed reactions from the watchers about Kournikova's presence. Will she be able to do what is expected out of her and will she be able whip the contestants back in shape? Well, that is something that we have to wait and watch.
