This 37 year old Multi Grammy award winning singer-songwriter has gone old school in terms of shedding that pregnancy weight. It has been six months since Alanis Morissette gave birth to her first child, Ever Gabo. Unlike a lot celebrities who are on a fast track mode to lose baby weight, she has been taking it slow and steady. Let's take a look at this Canadian singer-songwriter's post pregnancy diet.

We know that this 'Walk Away' singer has had eating disorders while growing up. She resolved to athletics to get that balance in her life. So right now, Alanis Morrisette has gone back to her old way of being in shape; running. She was spotted running dressed in a purple t-shirt and grey leggings in her neighborhood of Brentwood, Los Angeles. She was seen running with a friend and she appeared to be relaxed and enjoying herself. She has taken part in marathons before. Before her pregnancy, Alanis Morissette had shared openly her love for running by saying, “I’ve learned how to enjoyably fuel myself. Participating in this marathon has inspired me to treat my body like an instrument.” When it come to her fitness, this is what she had to say; “When I’m out on tour, my shows are so physical that that really takes care of it. When I’m not on tour, I do between a half hour to an hour of light weights, running, biking, swimming, probably five times a week. I also love to kickbox and dance.” But, I guess, it is the running that gives her the high.
                                       

When it comes to her diet, she is a vegan. However, she has said that pasta and salty snacks are her weakness. So these days, she has cut them down drastically and is sticking to healthier eating. It is no surprise that Alanis Morissette wants to set a right example for her son now by eat right and being fit.

My advice to the new and nursing mothers is to take the weight loss journey at your own pace. Like Alanis Morissette, you can take up running as an exercise.
