A Nazi Christmas would be very very out of place and controversial, but most of all it would be boring!!! Different?.yes..but boring!!! If you thought that Christmas was celebrated the same way over the years, then you were wrong. The Nazi  worked hard at erasing the religious nature of the festival.

They revamped everything related to the festival from the traditional Christmas food and recipes to the christmas tree baubles. Christmas was definitely contorted and manipulated to suit Hitler's Nazi and atheist Propoganda and it was tried to represent CHhistmas  as a Pagan Winter Solistice Celebration!! Here is how:

Even the Christmas baubles were transformed such that elements of Christianity including the star and infant Jesus was removed. The star especially was a problem, as a six pointed star would represent Jews and the five pointed star would represent Russia!!

Here you can see alternatives they choose. Swastika wrapping paper, baubles with non religious and German icons embossed on them.

The Christmas tree decoration were in for a revamping too!! Bomb and grenade shaped christmas decorations and even swastika shaped hangings!!! Quiet a drab way to celebrate Christmas, wouldn't you say!!!

Even Christmas cards were not allowed to retain their character!!! The civilians were ordered to send patriotic Christmas cards to the soldiers along with tips to preparing Christmas cookies in case of food shortage!!!

I don't think anyone or anything could have made Christmas more depressing!!! Feel blessed that a Nazi Christmas is not the part of any ruling parties agenda in the world...and let the Christmas season begin!!!!
