3rd Annual New York Beer Craft Week - Best time to have choicest beerI am excited…happy and eagerly waiting for the summer to bid us good-bye! Why?

My favorite season  ‘Fall' is soon to begin with a whole week of good food, drinks, fun and frolic – our much awaited 3rd Annual New York Beer Craft Week is just a few weeks from now.  I still can’t forget the gatherings, music, food, brews and exciting drink specials which we had in our locality last year…even our local bars participated in the festivities.

I gathered as much information I could about the line-up of events; since I had to mail my friends about the schedule…they will be dropping in to be a part of the merrymaking and fun activities. The celebrations begin from September 24th and will carry on till October 3, 2010 – a week full of promotions and special events. My friends will be arriving the previous day to feel the enthusiasm of the pre- beer craft day.

The fun will actually start from September 8, 2010, with ‘Exclusive Press Preview Event’ where the NYC beer passport will be released and we will get to preview the magnificent Brooklyn Brewery brewing facilities… I plan to attend the event to taste the locally produced foods which will be paired with craft beers.

When my friends arrive we have plans to attend the ‘Beer pairing menus’ where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the 3 course beer and sumptuous food pairing menus. My friend Candy, loves rock bands, so we can’t afford to miss the fun at Freaktoberfest Boutique Beer&Music Festival where some of the best bands of the region will participate. We hope to have a rocking time with indie-rock music and burlesque dancers.

Beer craft week - a whole week to taste some great beer
Next in-line will be Get Real NY Cask Ale&Food Festival on September 25-26. This is my personal favorite and I am sure it is going to be an experience worth remembering. It is a tasting event of specialty cask-conditioned beer from different parts of the world. I am more eager to taste the artisan delicacies of some of our nearby restaurants.

Beer Walks is also one of those events which we cannot afford to miss…we may not get another Beer craft festival is the only time when you get to taste such a great variety in beeropportunity to walk through the boroughs later on. The tour includes "Bike Brooklyn Beer Blitz!," and "Fermented NY’’ among many others…it is surely going to be a tough decision to choose one tour from so many on offer.

Joseph has already made plans not to miss out the Brewers Choice… this is a brilliant tasting event where 400 or more people usually participate…so we will be there too!!

All the fun and frolic will end on October 3 with the official closing ceremony. It will feature some of the best foods of the event prepared by none other than the famous Chef Daniel Humm.
