1.The Bazaar by Jose Andres
The bazaar is located at the SLB hotel at Beverly Hills. Their mantra is “Gather, Relax, Mix, Mingle. Flirt. Eat. Drink” Jose Andres is the James Beard award winning chef owner of ThinkFoodGroup voted as the best Chef: Mid Atlantic-2008. GQ magazine 2009 Chef of the year, Jose is credited with introducing American to both avant garde and traditional Spanish cooking, exquisite creations and delicacies. Philip Starck design is lovely adding to the ambience.
2. Providence, Melrose Avenue
This restaurant won America’s Top 50 restaurants by Gourmet magazine. This is “One of America’s Best New Restaurants 2005,” according to Esquire magazine and also the top 40 restaurants. The food, wine everything here is top of the line and worth your time and money.
3. Drago
Enjoy a culinary feast here with delectable and romantic cuisine inspired by Chef Celestino Drago and his talents. He re-discovers local Italian dishes, which are re-invented with the aid of modern cooking techniques and inserted into a modern context. Menu here is a representative of cultural diversity of Italy.
4. Zengo
This restaurant offers Latin American Cuisine by Chef Richard Sandoval with Asian accents. Pork arepas, sea bar with pineapple salsa, saffron-dashi ponzu and wagyu skirt steak churrasco with onion tempura. How does all this sound? The cuisine here is Mexican. Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger have opened this in the Cuidad space. The cuisine is special and authentic and worth a visit.

The Vietnamese cuisine on Wilshire blvd, Beverley hills is newer and rated top restaurants by Gayot.com.
8. Red O:
This one is a modern Mexican Cresto lounge from Chicago chef Rick Bayless on Melrose Avenue. This hip LA deco with brass bells on the wall and a 25 ft fireplace with Mexican chandeliers is awesome. The menu is executed by Armando Martinez who displays his expertise in the Mexican cuisine.
9. The Royce:
A French restaurant in Pasadena with chef David Feau at the helm whose house-made bread and artichoke soup with apple tart dessert is an assembly line of exquisite dishes. The sea urchin soup and the apple cabbage slaw is extraordinary and worth a try.
10. Animal Restaurant, Fairfax:
Two dudes, one kitchen cooking up exotic dishes with maximal flavor from a minimalist kitchen is the book put together by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo. They opened Animal restaurant in June 2008 to widespread acclaim. In the two years since opening its doors the duo has been awarded Food & Wine best new Chefs of 2009 and several other awards.
