For all those who would still like to taste Mommy’s breast milk, Daniel Angerer is back with a new entry in his restaurant menu – “Mommy’s Milk Cheese”! Yes, the famed New York chef has experimented with human breast milk to make cheese; I wonder how it would taste!

Daniel Angerer claims to have used the breast milk of his long time fiancé, who is the nursing mother of their new-born daughter.

Although the Mommy’s Milk Cheese has invited mixed responses from foodies and food critics, Daniel does not seem affected by the questions being raised on the health related issues that may occur due to the consumption of breast milk.

It does look like some people are really desperate to get their hand on some money, drugs and CHICKEN!! Gues what they used to hide their drugs this time. A completely well cooked chicken!! The Customs and Border Protection officers at Dulles International Airport discovered $4,300 worth of cocaine in this stuffed chicken. That would be 60.4 gms of coke!!! Quiet an expensive Chicken Stuffing, wont you say?!!!.

Either Wagner Mauricot, the traveler was really high when he did this or they really thought the cooked stuffed chicken would work!!! Personally I would say, its not such a bad ploy!!! But I just hope they didn't waste that good looking chicken!!!

Recent gruesome discoveries of body remnants of our ancestors in South Germany point at practices of mass cannibalism!!! My first interaction with the concept of cannibalism comes with the portrayal of Hannibal Lecter by Anthony Hopkins since then it has been a reason for  many nightmares! I have a feeling these archeological discoveries about a period when cannibalism was more a way of life is only going to increase the frequency of these cannibalistic dreams!!!

PETA suddenly seems to be a highy patriotic group that sends chocolate goodies to the US troops. I wonder if the the listing of PETA as a Terrorist Organization by USDA has anything to do wiih it!! Along with strutting around partially nude and barely covered by lettuce leaves, and throwing up anti fur parades, these animal loving activists are also busy turning into troop supporters nowadays!!!

Look at what they send the troops in Afghanistan this year!! Bin Laden Chocolate Bites. Never really thought Bin Laden could be so tempting!! These are non-diary and vegan friendly Bin Laden chocolate bites (troops might not be too happy about that!!) created by Harbor Candy!! So what if the US government cant get hold of the ever invasive Osama Bin Laden, at least the troops can bite his head off because of PETA's Bin Laden Chocolate Bites!!!

Of all the things..... a rotating kitchen!!! They actually put up a square rotating kitchen by Zeger Reyers as the opening piece for the exhibition, Eating the Universe at the Kunsthalle Dusseldorf, Germany! The exhibition that opened last friday will let the rotating kitchen,,ehh,..rotate till February 28th, 2010.

Though I simply cant fathom the art element in this mess (that is gonna look worse than my brothers room) I can connect to it!! After all the scene is not too different when I am done with my kitchen every night!! What do you guys say .does the rotating kitchen really spell art or no?

Of all things weird and wonderful, this has gotta be my favorite ever! A marrow that mother nature crafted like a lovely little duck. If only it had three small marrows behind it that looked like ducklings but I guess that would be asking a bit too much!

Yes, this cousin of Daffy’s was grown by the Partridges in their garden patch. The ‘sitting duck marrow’, as I would like to call it looks like a perfect little sculpture of a duck done in marrow in mother’s nature art and craft class! The perfect body shape, the head and the stem that looks just like a beak; most of us would have trouble believing that this wasn’t photoshop-ed!

Of all the things … Manmade meat!!! It is true! Scientists from Holland have grown meat in their laboratories. To PETA’s delight of course! They used the cells from a live pig and replicated its growth in Petri dish!! Imagine that..meat out of the Petri dish and on to your dinner table!!!

The 'in vitro' or cultured (pun intended) meat if marketed in the future can definitely reduce the killing of farm animals as well as the production of Global emissions from meat around the world. This might mean that we might have fewer of the PETA advertisements hanging around!!! Given that they have been inclined to sport barely dressed women...it might feel like a loss to many.

While we were enjoying our turkey day back here, our astronauts floating in mid space also had a surprise Thanksgiving Spread awaiting them!!! Space Shuttle Atlantis’s astronauts didn't know they were in for a treat until Thanksgiving!

On Thanksgiving the astronauts were pleasantly surprised to realize that they did have a Thanksgiving meal ready for them from smoked and irradiated Turkey to pouches of candied yams, freeze dried cornbread stuffing and green beans!!!

Though NASA Spokesman, joked that the only conceivable thing is that they could have smuggled the meals in to the shuttle before departure, the NASA had obviously stocked the pantry months in advance for this occasion!!

Seems like it is not only teenagers who like to crash parties!!! A socialite couple who are aspiring reality TV Stars from Northern Virginia actually managed to crash the White House State Dinner this Tuesday! The couple managed to get across the secret services and guards and ironically even managed to have their photos clicked with a number of dignitaries. There are even a few with the Marines at the White House!!

The first State Dinner hosted by the President and First Lady seemed to have lacked in nothing! The warmth of the welcome and the glamour of the State Dinner was not lost on any!! The slight Indian touch and the simple appeal was hinted at from the guest list to the completely vegetarian menu for the State Dinner! Here is an interesting peep into the décor and the menu of the State Dinner!

 

The guest chef Marcus Samuelsson worked with first lady Michelle Obama and White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford to create a delectable menu that catered to the eminent guests and brought together a delicious blend of American and Indian cuisine. As expected fresh, sustainable and regional food was incorporated in to the State Dinner menu!

Well you read it right, this so-called distinctly delicious Chicken Curry, named Anaarkali Butter Chicken is tagged Rs. 6000/- a portion, equivalent to about 85 Euro.

 

If you feel your eyeballs popping out, that was the same even I experienced when I first read an article on this Chicken Curry in one of the leading magazines. Although the take of the article was purely on the purchasing power of an average Indian today, what struck my attention was just the price tag – never in my life I have tasted or ever heard of a Chicken Curry worth Rs. 6000/-.

The celebrity chefs of the country seem to be determined to make their presence felt. Top chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Anthony Bourdain has migrated from Reality Shows to the Animation film industry!
