About
Like many of you on this site I love eating different types of foods and as a result of trying to meet the demands of my curious palate I cook a lot and I experiment a lot. I also grew up with a mom who is an incredible cook. My mom had a way of even making boring leftovers just melt in your mouth because she would jazz it up and recreate it as a new dish. My parents moved to the US from India in the late 60’s and my mom continued to cook traditional Indian food, Sindhi food to be specific, and all of her renditions of American, Italian, and Mexican food. Because she didn’t get all of the ingredients here as she did in India, she used many substitutes and created her fusion dishes, long before it was hip to cook fusion food. So she has been my inspiration for my creativity.<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->Now as I have my own family, I too come up with all sorts of ways to give my kids good nutrition that tastes good. We live in San Francisco and my kids are exposed to every type of cuisine out there and I make it a point of cooking a variety of cuisines using fresh ingredients. I hope you’ll use my recipes and tips in cooking for your kids. I promise you that the baby food you make will be so good you’ll want to eat it too!
